OHA District 5 AGM

It's one of the most anticipated garden gatherings of the spring: the 2011 Ontario Horticultural Association District 5 Annual General Meeting.

It's happening on Saturday April 30th and will be hosted by the Newmarket Horticultural Society. This year's theme is "Grow With the Flow." The AGM will feature two fantastic speakers. Paul Zammit, Director of Horticulture at the Toronto Botanical Garden, will talk about "Planning and Planting for all Seasons of Interest." Aileen Barclay of Water for Tomorrow will talk about "Xeriscaping Your Garden." There will be also be a flower show and lots of door prizes. The day is a great way to meet other gardeners and to stuff one's face with really delicious food.

This year's get together happens at Madsen's Gardens at 160 Bayview Parkway in Newmarket.  Click here to be connected to a map.  For a rundown of the day's events and another map click here.

The North Toronto Horticultural Society will have about a dozen members representing the club.  Have a great day.

Last year's OHA District 5 AGM was a huge success.  The Floral Hall
at the Toronto Botanical Garden was buzzing with excitement.
This year's event is being held in Newmarket and
promises to be just as much fun.

Remember to join us on May 10th for the Annual North Toronto Plant and Garage Sale.

Happy Gardening.
